First conceptualized over a cup of coffee and a piece of plum cake in the backyard of Theo Seiler’s Bavarian home in 1999, we bring you the 10th annual meeting of the Wavefront and Presbyopic Refractive Correction Congress.

In this historic 10th year, we are pleased to announce the 2009 congress will be held in conjunction with the Alicante Refractiva International annual conference in Alicante, Spain, and will be called the “Lens, Refractive Surgery and Wavefront Summit”. We will reflect on the progress of wavefront customization in refractive surgery, as well as the new technologies for presbyopic correction, and embrace a stronger clinical affiliation while taking stock of the challenges ahead.

Our unique format for the Congress, integrating optical scientists with clinicians and ophthalmic industry representatives has proven to be invaluable in moving the industry forward in the best interest of our patients.
